Project Description
- Rehabilitation and restoration of the historic North Hollywood train station, one of the oldest buildings in North Hollywood, back to its 1920's peak condition. Rehab and restoration of area surrounding the station.
- Depot will be used as a Metro customer service center.
Status
- CRA/LA Board of Commissioners approved additional matching funds and transfer of project back to Metro on June 7, 2007.
- City Council approval received on August 7, 2007.
- Assignment and Assumption Agreement executed by Metro and CRA/LA in November 2007.
- Metro responsible for construction; going out to bid. Scheduled to commence construction during first quarter.
Community Benefits: Transit patron and community center; public park/plaza.
